Microsoft Build Tour 2015
On Friday, our development team attended the Microsoft Build Tour in Midrand which showcased demos of Windows 10, Visual Studio 2015, Microsoft Edge, Team Foundation, Power BI and Azure. From a developer perspective the content was extremely hands-on and provided insight into the underlying technology and API’s that are available. This year, our development team at SCS Solutions were privileged to go to the annual Retail Business Technology Expo held at the Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre, London. Our mission was to go there, be inspired and gain knowledge of how the retail sector is changing. The exhibition was filled with retail stands of industry leaders, entrepreneurs and visionaries. The main focus of the exhibition was omnichannel retailing, which is similar to cross-channel and multichannel (mobile and web), but focuses more on social networks, kiosks, in-store displays, interactive televisions and how it improves your customer-experience. Let’s face it. The days of spam e-mails with flashy adverts are gone. “SoLoMo” (Social – Local – Mobile) was the buzzword that got everyone thinking about how social ...

The latest trend in computing and hitting the market by storm is the presence of the new mobile computers most commonly referred to as tablets or tablet computers.
