CeBIT 2011

As many of you already know, CeBIT is the world’s largest computer and technology expo. We sent a team of our own to explore the vast possibilities unfolding in the world of computers. The latest trend in computing and hitting the market by storm is the presence of the new mobile computers most commonly referred to as tablets or tablet computers.

We found many different makes, models, sizes and uses for tablet computers and were surprised at how fast tablets have established in the world of retail. While lots of exhibitors focused on the new mobile platforms and devices, others had their heads and systems up in the cloud and showcased various software and systems ready for cloud based computing.

Although our market has not yet caught up to the cloud based idea, we are very confident that this trend will soon follow in South Africa for corporates and small businesses.
